We had a great weekend. We went to the Salt City Roller Derby championship game on Saturday and it was awesome! Really, it was everything I hoped it would be and more. The roller derby girls were seriously hard core! I'm pretty sure they'll cut you if you don't watch it. They had names like "brutal strudel", "dangerlove", and "dirty pirate hooker". The championship was between the "sisters of no mercy" and the "leave it to cleavers" (our pick). The leave it to cleavers won by a landslide! It took us a while to learn all the rules, but eventually we were pros. They're having tryouts on October 8th ...tempting. Now I'm ready to watch Whip It.
