this week

downs:

-my hairdresser telling me my hair has gotten darker since i had a baby. dear Roo, you've sucked the blonde right out of me

-food poisoning

-getting stuck in our steep driveway. hello ice!

ups:

-finally getting my hair fixed. oh you noticed those dark roots? yeah, i think you could've seen them from space

-Ruby suddenly asking for hugs and kisses. it's still very rare, but the first time she said, "mommy, hug!" my heart just about exploded 

-my new bed (christmas present). ok so it's really just a new duvet cover, but i love it and it's inspired me to actually make the bed... this is a big deal
-the world's best husband swooping in on my sick days and sending me to bed, where i belong
-pumping my computer full of new ram (another christmas present-nerd alert)
-mailing out the invites for my sister's baby shower. it's coming! the baby will be here so soon!
-canadian candies and cookies left over from Nana and Papa's visit. we're so spoiled
-that time i wore a yellow sweater and Roo said, "oooooh! yellow mommy! pretty!" is that not the cutest thing you've ever heard?! i mean, wow... and maybe i should start wearing more colorful clothes?
