this week

downs:
heartburn, back/hip pain, swelling and all of those other fun end-of-pregnancy symptoms
that time Roo ran, head-first in to a wooden fence post. hello head bruise
that lady in target who called Ruby a boy for wanting to be a dinosaur for halloween. rude

ups:
fall. it's here! the leaves are changing, the air is crisp, and we're sipping hot chocolate in our sweaters and boots. hooray for fall!
nana's caramel popcorn. oh boy is it heavenly
pumpkin hunting
a healthy, growing baby. my pregnancy with Ruby was filled with a lot of worry because she was diagnosed with IUGR (intrauterine growth restriction- basically she wasn't growing). i was expecting a similar experience this time, but this baby is doing great and we couldn't be more thrilled. we're keeping our fingers crossed that i'll be able to go in to labor on my own this time
the funny things Ruby says. i know i'm always saying this, but i swear i'll never get tired of hearing the things she comes up with
the way Ruby loves wearing the cat ears from her halloween costume all the time
the baby shower my awesome sister threw for me. it was so fun and of course i didn't take a single picture...
how excited Ruby got about me giving her a halloween pedicure (orange with googly eyes). and the way she says "googly eyes!"
visiting with Tyler's Grandma and Grandpa. we absolutely love them and Ruby was in heaven listening to Grandma read her books while Grandpa snuck her jelly beans. we can hardly wait to see them again at christmas
