i had these great plans to send out christmas cards this year. "who cares if we'll have a week old baby when the photos need to be sent to the printer?! i can totally do it! who needs sleep or recovery time?! not me!" i crammed myself in to those old jeans, forced the man into a color scheme appropriate shirt, threw the toddler's hair in to a hair bungee (yikes! not my best work), bundled up our fresh babe, packed up our little family and called our obligatory photographer (thank you,
Dawnica!) to get that photo or so help me!
needless to say, the photos didn't even make it out of the camera until long past the deadline.
we may not have gotten our christmas cards out this year, but i'm still glad i got that photo. would you just look at my happy, festive family?? how did i ever get so lucky to call these wonderful people mine? my heart is so full and we really did have a great holiday season together. we hope you did too!
