Ruby's first trip to the pool

we were invited by some friends to go swimming and we could not have been more excited! the pool was indoors and heated, so we got to escape the bitter cold outside. 

our little kitten wasn't too excited about the pool when we first got in, but she warmed up to it after sitting in the shallows with mom for a while. 

 after she got over her initial fear she was in heaven. she splashed, and squealed, and played with her duckie and turtle until her toes were nice and pruney. 

i'm so glad we got a video of this! 

p.s. Ruby has learned how to say "tickle" (or at least her version of it, which sounds kind of like "dicka-dicka-dicka"). it is adorable. she says it while trying to tickle us (usually just opening and closing her tiny fists against our chest, cheeks, or neck). i'm so in love. 

p.s. how stinking cute is Roo's pink polka dotted tutu swimmie?! it kills me!
