this week

downs:

-teething. Ruby has only had 2 of her bottom front teeth for the last 8 months, and now the rest are all coming at once. 

-falling down the stairs. having to hurry and peel my sad bones off the ground because the babe saw the whole thing and started bawling. "it's -ugh- okay, honey! ouch! mommy's -oof- fine!". also, i have been a bit of a cripple ever since.

-having a sick family. nobody's seriously sick, just under the weather enough that we're all a bit grumpy.

-Ruby using my eyeliner as paint. she usually sits with me while i do my makeup, but she's suddenly learned how to open EVERYTHING

-moving.... by the way, we moved!

ups:

-the look on Ruby's face when she makes a tall tower of blocks. she gets so excited and squeals and claps after every block she stacks. 

-getting a new car! wahoo!

-how Roo adds a "y" to the end of every word now (cup-y, chip-y, up-y, book-y, block-y)

-getting new books in the mail. it's like christmas!

-the way Ruby says "nigh-nigh" when she's ready for bed and when she lays down her babies. "nigh-nigh mommy.... nigh-nigh bee-bee!" so cute!

-family drives up the canyon. 

-moving. (yes, i think this one belongs in both categories. it's exhausting and stressful, but also new and exciting) wahoo!

-halloween candy
