so, we moved... again

we moved again! i promise we're not in the witness protection program.

it's all been very hectic and tiring, but on the plus side, we're here! and it's all so new and exciting! and you know what? i have a working refrigerator, a healthy family, and sheets on my bed. that's a lot more than i could say about some of our previous moves.

just for kicks, here are a few bits of conversation from this past weekend. try to guess who said what

"maybe we should keep our mattress on the floor like this forever. i like it down here."
"why?"
"i don't know. maybe it's because i know i won't hurt myself if i fall off."
"when was the last time you fell off the bed?"
"i don't know. i just like the peace of mind."

"um, why is my baby holding a hatchet?"

"the last people who lived here were professional ping-pong players (true story)... that's funny... that means everyone who's lived here has been stellar at ping-pong."

"i think the landlord thinks my name is Landon."
"i know the landlord thinks you name is Landon."

"guess what i found that the ping-pong players left here! shoelaces, a batman pillowcase, a love letter, 3 cans of canned asparagus, a rock garden, and an old birthday card."
"what?! ...did you read the letter? ok i'm reading it! do you want me to read it out loud? how about just the highlights? are you sure? ok i'm going to read it now! i'm so excited!!"

"did you know we had this many forks? our fork space is overflowing with fork!"

"Ruby look! there's Elmo, here's cookie monster, and there's Bert. can you say Bert?"
"butt!"
"no, Bert. BERRR-T"
"butt! BUUUTT!"

"did you know that swedish people don't know how to count?"
"what?!"
"these ikea instructions are ridiculous! they go 2,3,2,3,4,6,1,1!.....meatballs."

now i'm going to go clean something.
