what our days look like

 talking to dada on the phone. their conversations sound like this:
"hi, Ruby."
"HIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiiii..."
"how are you doing, sweetheart?"
"dadadadadadadadadada"
"yes, this is dada. hi, Roo."
"hi.....hihihihi....HIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiii...."
"hi. hi. hi, sweetie. what are you doing?"
"BYEEEEeeeeeeeee" (and then throws the phone over her shoulder)
"hello?"

 watching the singing hippo.

playground wood chips are the most fascinating thing. i spend 95% of the time at the park keeping her from putting them in her mouth.

Roo and i have both had a case of the grumps lately. the weather was just about perfect today so we took it outside. something about fresh air and sunshine helps to turn the frowns upside down.
