-the nap/bedtime wrestle.
-taking Roo and her buddy to a splash pad (that part was fun). trying to take pictures only to realize after 30 seconds (mostly trying to get my camera settings right) that my child and her bff had run opposite directions in to a giant crowd of people. operation "stop, drop, and roll" went in to effect immediately. at least i was smart enough to bring the hubs as back-up.
-what is it about little boys wanting to position their rumps right over the biggest fountain at the splash pad? did it ever occur to you that the rest of us don't want to be showered in your rump-water?

-watching Ruby growing closer to her friends. my heart melts in to a giant puddle when they hold hands.
-spotting a hawaiian ice stand on a hot day. piña colada, green straw- same since high school.
-celebrating 6 years of marriage to the most amazing, wonderful, fantastic man i know.
-that moment when you arrive at a water park and your child's head nearly explodes from excitement.
-finally finishing the quilt i started for Roo in april. let's be honest here, it's kind of a hot mess, but at least it's done. besides, i don't think midge will mind the crooked binding.
