this week

downs:
- when the microwave exploded
- that time Ruby fished something interesting out of her diaper and then decided it was "gross" and wiped it on my arm. why not? that's where all the boogers and old food ends up. why not poop? ...this is my life
- that time Roo pulled everything off the table at a restaurant, and in an attempt to catch our appetizer, i ended up with my entire hand in a bowl of guacamole. apparently i still haven't learned my lesson about taking her to restaurants. my mistake
-creepy santa

ups:
- making gingerbread houses with friends
- hearing Roo sing along to songs and recite her favorite books from memory (she obviously doesn't know all the words and most of it is gibberish, but it makes me so proud, nonetheless)
- that time Ruby made me turn around so she could rub my back
- getting christmas cards done early. i'm sure i'll be tweaking them for the next 3 weeks because i can't leave well enough alone, but at least the pictures are finished
- making Baby's christmas ornament. and it's real cute
- driving Roo around to look at christmas lights. hearing her say "more kee-mas (christmas) lights, mommy!" "oh wow! boo-wed (blue and red) lights!  keeee-mas!"
-picking out a christmas tree. the way that "noble fir" makes my house smell like a woody heaven. how Roo's eyes light up when she sees it in the morning
