play date: arboretum

Ruby had another play date with her friends this week. this time we went to the arboretum. 

i love trips to the arboretum because it's always so beautiful, even in the off season. 

we walked the trails and took in the great views.

 Ruby is finally holding her own bottle. this is a big deal, people!

 we also found out that they have a children's center for the kids to play in. bonus! Roo loved it.

after they ran wild in the children's center, we took them to the "touch and feel greenhouse" where they were encouraged to touch the plants. what a great idea, right? 

Bub may have taken the suggestion a little too seriously. she wanted her hands on everything. including the cactus section. eep!

here's Roo with her buddy Hudson. we would've taken a photo of all three of them but Jarem was busy swimming in the fountain. he knows where the party is.after the arboretum, a few of us went out for burgers and shakes. 

by the end of the day everyone was happy and worn out with full stomachs, so i'd give this day an A+.
