this week

downs:
-Ruby deciding that the choicest humor is blowing raspberries; particularly at the moment a spoonful of baby food hits her lips. i can generally count on having a rainbow of gooey food-chunks in my hair at all times.
-realizing that Roo got in to my painstakingly organized quilt squares.
-finding a melted starburst glueing my sweater pocket shut.
-the fact that my house has started to resemble varying degrees of this*:

-little learning to hide things under the dining room rug... like cheerios.

ups:
-watching Roo try to walk in hard-soled shoes. it's like watching a scuba diver on dry land.
-big baby hugs. they're rare, but they're heaven!
-tagalongs
-the birthday party!
-Roo learning to clap:

-leftover birthday cake
-the birthday balloons lasting less than 24 hours. yes, that is a good thing. the valentine's day balloons are still floating!

*this was the day i left the diaper bag unzipped. a lot of this stuff came from the kitchen too. my favorite part about this picture is that her toy bin is completely untouched.
