for the fourth of july we were lucky enough to go to liberty with my sister and her sweet family. somehow Tyler was able to get a couple of days off work so we decided to make it in to a camping trip. i honestly had so much fun sleeping in our little orange tent with my favorite people and it occurred to me that this may be one of the last times we can all still fit in there (time to upgrade to a 4 person tent!). getting that much time with Tyler is a huge luxury these days, so we girls just soaked it all in. hooray for family time!
Dawnica and i thought maybe it would be nice to get some family photos while we were there because 1. the farm is beautiful, 2. we hadn't had a picture of all of us together in a long time, 3. the baby bump had been completely undocumented, and 4. Tyler was actually around to be in the pictures! keep in mind these were taken after we had slept in a tent, swam in a lake, and tramped around the liberty days fourth of july fair and parade. we were all a little hot and tired and Roo was so not in the mood, but gosh darn it i was determined! so we snuck these pictures in before fireworks on the fourth and i'm so glad we did.
please note: our matching sandals. Ruby calls them our "best friend shoes" so i'm obviously never wearing anything else on my feet ever again. yes, i'm the mom who likes matching outfits with my kids. embrace the cheese.
please try NOT to notice: my swollen pregnant ankles or Ruby's "camera smile/snarl" (she got that from her mama)
^ we obviously couldn't figure out when to look at the camera ^
Ruby was tired and done so Dawnica asked her "what does a firework look like?" this makes me laugh every time ^
^ not a fan of the "human train" pose, but Ruby was looking at the camera! and almost smiling! keeper!
i'm so lucky to have a patient and talented sister who's willing to take pictures for us. thank you, Dawnica! and happy (late) fourth of july!

Aw, the "human train" pic is so sweet! Lovely family pics and your matching sandals are adorable. =)
ReplyDeleteSuperb photos! And I also love to wear nearly like my little Wen, I find it cool and I've done it even with my husband!
ReplyDeleteLove the "human train" photo. It definitely is a keeper. Thanks so much for doing this blog. It keeps up part of your precious family.
